Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
While basic swimming ability is helpful, it is not required. You will be provided with a high-floatation life jacket that is designed to keep you afloat in river conditions, and our guides are trained in water rescue.
What should I bring?
Bring a change of clothes (you will get wet!), a towel, sandals or water shoes, and sunscreen. We provide wetsuits, but please come prepared for a water-based activity.
Is it dangerous?
Whitewater rafting always carries inherent risks, but we minimize them with expert guides, high-quality safety equipment, and rigorous safety protocols. The Urubamba sections we navigate are carefully selected to be safe and exciting for our guests.
