About Us

We are passionate about sharing the authentic beauty, culture, and spirit of the Andes with the world through responsible and unforgettable journeys.

Meet Our Founder

Porfirio Carbajal Gutierrez

Born into a Quechua family in the historic living city of Ollantaytambo, Porfirio's connection to the Andean mountains began before he could even walk. At just 14 years old, he took his first job on the legendary Inca Trail as a porter. Through relentless dedication, he worked his way up to cook, then assistant guide, eventually moving to Cusco to earn his university degree as a specialized Adventure Tourism Guide.

His deep expertise in History and Cultural Identity led him to collaborate with National Geographic, guiding complex expeditions deep into the Amazon and the remote Andes. After spending years sharing his knowledge as a professor of tourism theory and guiding techniques, Porfirio felt the pull of his homeland. He returned to Ollantaytambo to do what he loves most: travel, explore, and show the world the authentic culture of his ancestors.

Why We Are Different

We are not just a travel agency; we are custodians of a culture that has resisted and thrived for over 500 years. Our expeditions are built on three non-negotiable pillars.

Quechua Immersion

We proudly speak our mother tongue, Quechua. We specialize in facilitating genuine coexistence with local families, allowing you to experience our ancestral customs from the inside, rather than just observing from the outside.

Active Conservation

Protecting our flora and fauna is intrinsically tied to protecting our heritage. Through our environmental projects, we conserve the natural landscapes to ensure we remain deeply connected to our ancestral past.

Social Mission

Our team is our family. We integrate Quechua communities directly into our operations and actively run social assistance projects aimed at empowering and supporting low-income families in the Sacred Valley.

Sharing Our World

A Unique Living Experience

When you travel with us, you are stepping into a living legacy. We believe that the truest way to show the world the riches left by our ancestors is through shared daily experiences. You won't just hike our trails; you will share meals, stories, and traditions with the people who have safeguarded these mountains for generations.

From exploring the high-altitude trails to engaging with indigenous conservationists, every step you take with us helps preserve our culture and supports the communities that make the Andes so magical.
