Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to help you prepare for this cultural immersion.

Is this tour physically demanding?

No, this experience is designed to be culturally immersive rather than physically strenuous. There will be light walking around the village and farmlands, but it is suitable for travelers of all ages and fitness levels.

Am I expected to buy textiles?

While the community will proudly display their beautiful handmade textiles, there is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything. However, if you are looking for authentic souvenirs, buying directly from the weavers is the best way to support their livelihood.

What should I bring?

We recommend dressing in comfortable layers, as the high-altitude weather can be unpredictable. Bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, a camera, and some Peruvian Soles (cash) in small denominations if you wish to purchase textiles or leave a tip.
