Our expeditions take place in remote, high-altitude regions surrounding Ollantaytambo, Cusco, and the Andes. Treks and trail running routes involve inherent risks including, but not limited to, altitude sickness, extreme weather shifts, and rugged terrain. By booking, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Kuska Expeditions is not liable for illness or injury.

As an agency led by a professional marathoner, we cater to both standard hikers and high-performance trail runners. You are responsible for accurately representing your physical fitness level during booking. Any pre-existing medical conditions (especially cardiac or respiratory issues) must be disclosed prior to paying your deposit.

The safety of the group is our ultimate priority. The Lead Guide (Porfirio Carbajal Gutierrez or appointed staff) has absolute authority on the trail. If the guide determines that a client's health, fitness, or behavior compromises their own safety or the group's, the guide reserves the right to remove them from the expedition without a refund.

We operate strictly under "Leave No Trace" principles. Guests must pack out their trash and respect the local Quechua communities and ancient Inca archaeological sites. Any guest intentionally damaging flora, fauna, or ruins will be reported to the Peruvian authorities and removed from the tour.

Kuska Expeditions acts as an agent in booking third-party services like PeruRail/IncaRail trains, Consettur buses, and external lodgings. We are not liable for delays, expenses, or missed connections caused by strikes, landslides, bad weather, or other events of Force Majeure. We highly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover these potential disruptions.
