How fit do I need to be?

This tour is strictly designed for experienced trail runners. You should be highly comfortable sustaining physical exertion on steep inclines and technical descents. Because we will be crossing a pass over 4,400m, excellent cardiovascular fitness is absolutely essential.

Do I need to carry my camping gear?

No, our support staff (horses/mules) will transport the heavy camping equipment, food, and your personal overnight duffel bag to the campsite. You only need to run with your lightweight hydration vest, windbreaker, and trail snacks.

Do I need to acclimatize before this run?

Yes. Running at high altitude places intense strain on your lungs. We strictly require all runners to spend at least 3 days acclimatizing in Cusco or the Sacred Valley before attempting this active expedition.
